You dont need to if your PC comes VR ready it should have extra 3.0 ports in back like my pc does didicated for vr use. Or if pc has little to no 3.0 usbs look for a usb 4 port 3.0s on amazon

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am be able to use the headset by plug into the build-in USB 3 port. Controllers seem to work fine by just plug into the built-in ports. So far, I don't need anything extra, I just use everything inside the Oculus original accessory and plug into the PC, and it work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you don't have 3 USB 3.0 Ports on Computer then yes you will need to add additional USB 3.0 Ports to connect everything. As far as the Controller they uses Standard AA Batteries no charging station option. But Batteries should last a total of 30 Hours of Playing Time at least.
