I would like the highest quality recording for the longest amount of time. What would you suggest. I will later want to download it to my computer and put it on my ipod. Is any of this possible??- Oh and with all of the reviews about the construction and the ease inwhich it could break,, why do they not include a case with it. Does anyone know where one could purchase one that would be inexpensive but sturdy?”

This recorder does offer MP3 recording which will allow you to use this on an iPod. The construction concerns you referred to are not a common problem or something are service centers are aware of. The cases we offer are soft neoprene storage cases. You did mention you are looking for the highest quality recording, although this is an excellent recorder, the LS series is our highest quality. I would suggest looking at the LS-7 or LS-11. These recorders may suite your requirements even better.
