• The camera is waterproof to 15 meters (~49 feet). Keep an eye on the seals and lubricate them lightly with silicone.

• Absolutely we just got back from the Galapagos islands and I used the camera for both snorkeling and land use. If you look at me review I just posted. There are two photos I took with the camera. Most of the others on the trip kept asking about the camera after seeing the photos I was taking every day. I would buy a second battery if you take a lot of photos. I would put on on the charge and then the second one in the camera swapping them out each night. That way I was ready to go for each day. The videos work well under the water I only wish I had taken more of them.
