This will work with its regular lens in up to 50 Ft of water. Which is good for snorkeling or if your external housing leaks. However, I think its too easy to drop below 50 ft when diving to risk taking. For depths up to 200 ft there are several housings available from both Olympus and 3rd parties. These housings also include adapters for add on lenses and filters. This camera also has 3 preset under water white balance modes that will make an electronic color adjustment similar to that of an external filter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is possible to attach a red filter that is commonly used for underwater photography using the CLA-T01 lens adapter. However. the TG-6 camera has three Underwater white balance settings that can be adjusted as the depth increases. Also many underwater photographer use RAW capture and adjust the color in post processing on your computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s supposed to not need extra filters. I bought it recently but have not gone snorkeling with it yet. However, I have owned a TG-5 and it took great photos underwater without extra filters. The 6 is supposed to be even better.
