“I believe that the LED lighting isn't color-changing on this series. Is it easy to unplug the effect from the board / power supply, so it does not illuminate things? Not a fan of the red, but am interested in buying this computer, nonetheless.”

I also asked about lighting. As suggested, I checked the forums and found my answer. Right click on desktop. Click Omen Command Center. It needed an update. Did that. Then there were all the colors and brightness available for each Omen component. There were also light schemes available. My Omen Reactor mouse was alternating blue, white, red, and green. I just wanted it to stay on red. Easy fix.
