CDMA is no longer in use by Cricket, specifically since their purchase by AT&T several years ago. True, Cricket was once powered by the penetrating signal of their own CDMA network, but it now runs exclusively on the AT&T towers using GSM bands appropriate to 4G LTE and the newer 5G signals. If you have a need for CDMA phone service, investigate the various providers remaining Time-to-live for this technology. It will be completely obsolete by the end of 2022 on all USA service providers and they will close down ALL 3G broadcasting in order to unite behind the existing standards of 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) and the upcoming 5G.
