“Does this play itself , or do i have to hook it to a receiver. I am looking for my elderly Mom -- something that plays just CD's -- no radio, no tuner, etc. Just a quality CD player that holds 5-6 CDs. Something that has its own speakers. Just basic with good sound. I cannot find anything this simple. Please help. Thank you”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This has to be connected to a receiver. The only outputs are analog and digital audio outputs which get connected to a receiver. Not sure if the analog outputs would work to regular speakers if you were to try an adapter.
