Will it connect with speakers throughout our home? null

The CD player will need to be hooked up to a receiver in order to play music through speakers.

My disc changer is connected by an optical cable to my receiver, which connects to my speakers.

I set-up my Onkyo - 6-Disc CD Player using the existing speakers throughout the house and patio.

The speakers are connected via your receiver or amplifier, not the cd player. The cd player is connected to your receiver. If your receiver handles more than one set of speakers then perhaps it can connect with speakers throughout your home. It depends upon the number of speakers your receiver handles.
