QuestionHi I have a onkyo dx-700 CD player I’m not getting no sound when hook it up to my reciever or if I hook up a headphones to it I tried different rca cables different inputs and still no sound Please help

- Answer Put a CD in it and push "play". This is not a troubleshooting forum for your very old product - the dx-700 doesn't even have digital (coax or optical) outputs.

Questiondoes this play continually and will it shuffle play

- Answer If you have it on random it will shuffle play. I know that if I play standard from Disc 1 to Disc 6 it will stop at the end of Disc 6. It might continually play with shuffle but I have not tried it all the way through on random play

QuestionPurchased 2 replacing 21 & 18 year old CD players (Sony & JVC). One player always skips on CD #1. No matter what CD, swap location in carousel and fine. Can't be reader or gears, verified pristine CD's skip like I drove over them if loaded #1 location.

- Answer My unit does the same. I’m blaming the display shelf which is slightly off level. I will remedy that and hope it helps. My old Yamaha carousel rarely skipped.
