Mine has to be plugged into my internet router using an ethernet cable. I think you could buy a range extender from Best Buy with an ethernet plug to connect Ooma. I had to do something similar to use my MyQ hub for my garage door opener. You would need the password of the internet to set up the extender.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The base Oma system uses a wired internet connection. They have an add on wireless attachment you can see at their website. Probably can get through them or other online retailers.

Please try again later.Try using an access point that can be linked to the existing wireless network signal and using one of the ports (RJ-45 Jack connections in the access point unit to connect the Telo Base. The Ooma Telo needs to be hard wired to the internet signal, but I do not believe it needs to be at the modem location. Since the unit does not have wireless capabilities, it needs to be connected via an ethernet cable (the cable that comes with the unit or any Cat-5 or Cat-5e pack cable) to any router or access point that can provide a wired internet connection.
