I don’t know about Genie but I definitely recommend the Ooma phone system. You can’t beat the price. If you make out of country calls however it will be an additional cost. I personally like having a landline as I don’t want my cell phone used except for friends and family and certain kind of business transactions only
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.With Ooma you do not need to buy the Premier package (9.99/month) all you need to pay for are the monthly taxes. So no you do not need to pay 9.99 a month but yes you do have to pay taxes every month.

The basic Telo does not include the premier home services, such as caller Id, robocall blocking, multi-ring, and some others. I believe the Genie model includes those features. They are about $9 more in addition to the monthly tax if you get the telo. I don’t use those features and I pay about $6 a month. The tax depends on where you live. You may want to contact ooma to clarify the charges.
