Please try again later.well first off, this is a short throw projector, so you can get a large image from not far back at all. according to Optoma spec sheet, you can get a 100" image from only 3.5 ft. way. so once you get back to say 8 feet, you are likely to get an image more like 222". -- while this projector can be used for multiple applications it was designed with gamers and portability in mind. if you need a image from 8-12 feet (projector mounted on ceiling) I would recommend choose the Optoma HD27 or similar. at 10 ft. (1/2 of your desired) you would get about a 90' screen image. so recommend HD27 or something with similar throw ratio.
