“I’m running a 75’ 3mm audio connection cable to plug the projector into my Sonos which is connected to my house sound system so I can play sound thru my outdoor speakers. However I can’t get rid of a hum, which gets louder as the volume is turned up.”

Try out a 3.5mm ground loop isolator - less than 20 bucks and will likely completely resolve the hum you have.
