Most screens will work but since this is a short-throw projector it is critical that the screen surface be absolutely flat—no ripples or rolls. Since I needed to use a portable screen, I found most of them were not flat enough. After trying 2 expensive ones that were not satisfactory, Ironically the one that worked best was a cheap one I found on eBay!

Short throw projectors are really sensitive to any imperfections with respect to flatness. Still, the result is more than acceptable with a portable screen if you can put up with a small amount of distortion in the corners.

I have an existing 82" portable screen, and while the results are acceptable, you can see some slight curvature in the upper corners, especially when graphics are displayed. I put up with it but it isn't ideal. If this will be more of a permanent installation (mine is portable), some sort of wall mounted screen or even the wall itself if it is while will yield better results.
