Non-stick coatings (like the one on this pan) are designed to give you effortless release and easy cleanup, but they can scratch or wear down if metal spatulas, spoons, or forks scrape against the surface. These scratches may reduce the effectiveness of the non-stick finish over time and could eventually shorten the life of the pan. Best practice: Use silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils to protect the coating. Avoid cutting food directly in the pan with knives. Hand-wash with a soft sponge and avoid abrasive cleaners.
