• I have this model, and it opened a plastic cork with no trouble at all just last night. Just be sure to use the included foil cutter first, and you're good to go!

• The electric wine opener may experience problems with a small percentage of plastic/synthetic corks and undersized corks, if in this case the cork should be removed manually.
