“Does the case support wireless charging for iPhone 8? I have read that some otterbox cases do not. I think this one is OK since it doesn't mention having metal in it. Thanks”

I’ve had no issues using a wireless charger with this case.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As I understand it, this case will allow wireless charging. That said,because the back of the case is thicker than the Apple recommended cases, charging will take longer. This was according to two different articles that I read. The reason that Apple changed to the glass back on the phone was to allow the wireless charging. While the glass is very durable, it is still glass and more fragile. If you are the type of person that may repeatedly either drop your phone or bump into tables with it in your pocket you will be at greater risk of cracking the case. I am not saying it is easily fractured, just more prone to it. I bought the original case that was recommended by the Apple Store. The case that the Apple store sold me have nice shiny (and slippery) sides and a very thin back. The Otterbox Commuter allows a more secure grip under in all situation. It's back also provides greater protection to the rear. I am planning buying a Otterbox Commuter case. I had one on my iPhone 6 and was very happy with it.
