• Yes, although the case has no storage for the Apple Pencil like the description says. A piece of the case opens so that the Apple Pencil can be used with your iPad. There is just no storage holding compartment.

• Yes, it has a side section which pops open and allows you to lay the pencil alongside the device for charging, even while the device itself may be charging.
