• I have this case and my phone has been dropmany times with no issues. my wife has the Morpie and the glass is broken and the case is losing its color. It you need a back up battery buy it separately

• Defender cases provide more protection than the mophie. The defender wraps around the phone whereas the mophie slides in to the phone. Now there is a mophie that provides the extra battery with the protection of a life proof. That would be a better choice if you need that extra battery and added protection.
