The holster is a frame with a rotating belt clip that the Otterbox case snaps into. It works but isn't very secure, it feels like the phone will pop out of the holster if bumped the right way.

The Defender case is great by itself but don't buy the Defender case if you need a holster. Or buy a pouch type holster.

It snaps into the holster. The holster is a little bulky because the phone is larger. i choose to simply put the phone in my pocket.
