The case itself does not protect the screen or has any clear layer that covers the screen. However the included belt clip gives you the option to have the screen exposed or unexposed while utilizing the belt clip. With the case clipped into its belt clip and with the screen being exposed the belt clip also serves as a stand for your phone. Recommend you purchase a screen protector or a Lifeproof case that covers the entire phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Otter box is screenless for the X model. You must get a screen protector. You must have seen a box for another version as the X is the only model they did this way. I asked if they had one with the plastic screen protector because I to have always had that type of case on all my phones and wasn’t exactly happy with the change, but still a great case...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Partial protection... like the case’s slightly raised edges would help of the phone fell face down on a flat surface. If your phone fell down on a rock, for example, or anything hat weren’t flat or fell on any type of angle, you would not be protected. Your screen could scratch, scuff, or break. I would recommend a glass screen with the case. Zaag has a good hd glass that fits well with this case.
