No, the case is not water resistant. Port covers block dirt, dust and lint from getting into jacks and ports.

And yes the case keeps the phone clean from dirt/dust. The case is a hard but light weight plastic cover that just wipes off any dirt. I would recommend this case. Not bulky like the cases useto be.
