  • QuestionI have a hard time believing this can keep things hot for hours. There is a huge unrestricted sipper hole in the lid, which can only serve to let heat escape... as well as the liquid itself! Is there a sealed lid option for the otter box tumblers?

    Asked by ROCKSTR.

    • Answer Honestly the tumbler itself does whole hot stuff for at lease 6-7 hours. I totally forgot I had coffee in my backpack and when I opened my tumbler when I got off work, it was still pretty hot. The only bad thing is Otterbox claims the lids is “leakproof”, which in case, it’s not! So now I just use it as a thermos. If you don’t mind spending the money, I recommend getting the Takeya 30 oz tumbler. This one is solid. Holds the liquid temperature and is leakproof. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/takeya-actives-31-3-oz-thermal-cup-arctic/5981125.p?skuId=5981125

  • QuestionIs it dishwasher safe ?

    Asked by Sherrifed.

    • Answer I scoured the Web page for OtterBox and they were decidedly mute about washing instructions. So I wrote to the customer support line and they replied that they recommend HAND WASHING. We have hand washed it (perhaps that recommendation was on the packaging when we received it, but the same as we do for a similar Yeti tumbler). It has a smooth interior steel surface that washes quickly without any deep crevices that are hard to clear.

  • QuestionIs there a lid? If yes, is there a picture of the lid? Does it screw on?

    Asked by JennyMatthews.

    • Answer Yeah it comes with a flip top plastic lid. The thermo type top(pour spout/cup-lid), is sold separately. Check the link below. I learn that the hard way. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/otterbox-thermal-lid-black-stainless-steel/5824915.p?skuId=5824915

    • Answer Yes, the mug and lid are BPA free. Like 99.99 % of all consumer products these days, they are made in China.
