Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know why it doesn't come with a screen protector. I purchased mine separately to make sure my phone was protected. I am not generally hard on my phone, but I have dropped it on pavement before with no damage. The part that surrounds the screen seems to offer just enough of a lip around the screen to protect the phone from damage when dropped. I can't say if result would have been different if I had not had a screen protector.
