It is totally clear (one comes with glitter and one doesn’t)

No, it is black. You can not see the color of the phone through it.

This particular model does not allow you to see the phone's backplate/face colour. OtterBox does make clear / opaque "candyshell" cases, but they usually are way less durable.

It’s clear. I have the rose gold phone and the color show through case nicely.
