Yes to an extent, the side walls come up kind of around the sides of the phone. Wouldn’t protect your screen if your phone fell directly onto the screen.

Acting it does I’ve had the case for over a year and my phone still looks great with no issues on it and trust you me I’m super clumsy ha

It protects the back of the phone more than the front, I would recommend a screen protector as well as the case!
