A:Answer I own the 25 quart and the 45 quart. The answer somewhat depends upon the location (in the shade or not) and the temperature where the cooler is located. The company rates their coolers at 14 days. I certainly have NOT had that success. In fairness, is their rating based on a cooler with ice whereby the location is in a "cool" Colorado (Otter location) or where? I'm in "hot" Dallas-FortWorth, TX. Summertime and in the shade, --- 4-5 days maximum. Summertime and in no shade, --- 2-3 days maximum. You can extend these times by about 3-5 days if you supplement the ice with a frozen block (you know those rubbermaid and other brands of approximately 1.5" x 5" blue blocks of liquid you freeze in the freezer) each day starting day 1. Also, when the ice melts, extremely cold melted water does a pretty good job keeping your drinks and whatnot COLD. Overall, I like the product. It does not perform per their advertisement. But, it does perform. It is also "made in the USA!" (Made in USA is one of the reasons I bought this product over the competition.
