I had this situation and it really depends on how your state and local regulations. My installer was willing to install a plug in the wall if there was an existing line for power but was not licenced to move or actually install the required line ( run it from the breaker box) I ended up moving the line myself and installing the outlet according to local code,and they came back later and finished the install. It took a week for them to return. For times sake I would call an electrician and have a dedicated 20amp outlet wired to it own breaker.
