• This, like many other electronics, is designed in the US and is made in China. It keeps manufacturing costs down. Quality is good to excellent. Rest assured, you should enjoy this product for many years. As for BB carying a newer model, that I can't answer. I'm sure when they backfill their inventory, BB/Geek Squad will stock the latest version.
