• This unit was introduced when HDTV was all the rage, just prior to the 4K boom. I have had this unit for 6 months... Sony 4K tv is on Bank 1; Streaming box on Bank 2; AVR and Subwoofer are on Bank 5 (this Bank is for High Current components). We have had 3 severe storms since purchasing this and it did a great job of protecting everything! I snagged 2 of these this year for $319 and $348. I would wait for a price drop since Google knows you're looking!

• Yes. 1080p was the latest format when this was released. It’s mostly a marketing thing. Picture quality has no bearing on how much power protection it needs. Powers and protects my 4K TV just fine.
