“Does it have to be placed on counter? Is it okay to fit it in a prefab cabinet hole under counter? Is there a minimum space requirement from back of unit to the wall? For purposes of avoiding overheating. thank you.”

Hi! You can place it on a counter or install it in a cabinet with the compatible trim kit. The cabinet opening requirements are 23 5⁄8” x 15 9⁄16” x 21”. -M
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is placed in a hole in the middle of a cabinet and the back of the unit is several inches from the back of the cabinet. I have had no issues with it. The unit continues to run after you use it to cool it down hope this is helpful note: I love mine
