Hi! To remove cooking odours or the smell of the cleaner, Combine 1 to 1 ½Half half cups (250 to 375 ml) of water with the juice and peel of one lemon in a 2 quart (1.9 l) microwave safe bowl. Set power to HIGH for 5 minutes and press "START". Once the water finishes boiling, wipe the interior of the oven with a cloth. -M
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently bought: Panasonic - 1.6 Cu. Ft. Family-Size Microwave - Stainless Steel/silver, Model: NN-SN77HS, SKU: 5834501. I like it a lot, and I did not notice any smells when it was new, nor now, a month later. But I am not particularly sensitive to that, so there might have been a low-level smell that I didn't notice. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This microwave is the second Panasonic I have owned. I wore the first on out after 15 years. No smells here! The only thing I found out on this one is the interior is dark but with the interior light you can still see the item being heated.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The smells that emanate from this microwave are from the food products that you are heating or cooking in the oven. As for smells originating with the microwave itself, they do not exist. If you are concerned about "new equipment" smells, then I suggest operating the unit in a garage or other enclosed area where if the perceived odors are produced, they will not offend you. Please follow the instruction manual to the letter as to how to operate the microwave, and especially what you can and cannot put in the microwave. Also note that the microwave cannot be operated empty.
