The phone does not connect to the incoming call by simply lifting it out of the cradle. There is a relatively easy way to do this,.The lower left button is a speaker phone button and one press of this button will connect and put the phone in speakerphone mode. All the buttons on this phone are small compared to a big button phone. Hope this helps.
