I don't believe there is a Panasonic battery adapter for this model, so you'll have to go third party. These usually have a higher risk of damaging your camera. These entry-level DSLRs aren't meant to run for 8 hours; this camera in particular is probably a best fit for a YouTuber looking to step take their basic setup to the next level. This probably COULD stream for awhile with no issues - I would just get something more tailored to your purpose. I hear a lot of people love the Sony a5100 for streaming if you can afford the extra cash. Best of luck!
