“I read your answer to another customer about connecting their phone directly to their router. I have Fios, the telephone cable plug is totally different than the connections on the back of the router, so how is this possible?”

Hi Susan! You will need to discuss with your provider to check if your router has a port for a phone cable as well, and then you can connect a telephone cable between the router and the back of the phone, not an internet cable but a telephone one. -A
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They're probably talking about their cable modem, which has voice ports. Only voice over IP phones can be plugged into a router or switch. Your voice connections come off of your FIOS ONT.
