Thank you for reaching out to us! The battery life on the handsets can be up to 10 hours maximum in continuous use and 5 days maximum in standby mode. Actual battery performance depends on usage and ambient environment.

I don’t know yet. Giving it as a gift. Have had Panasonic cordless phones in the past, and had no problems.
