If people are not able to hear you during calls, the handset might be put on MUTE mode. In order to exit, you need to press MUTE while in a call. If you are referring to the volume of the ringtone for incoming calls, you can adjust by pressing MENU # 1 6 0 on the handset > press arrow down repeatedly to increase volume > press SAVE.
