This great camera does come with one battery. It also comes with a USB in camera battery charger. If you want an external battery charger and extra batteries that work well, Power2000 makes a great 2 Extended Replacement DMW-BMB9 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (1200Mah) (with Info-Chip!) + Charger Kit for the DMC-FZ70 which you can find for about $35.00.

Battery came with it, and you can charge it while it is in the camera.

Hello. The camera comes with a battery. The battery has to be charged when it is placed in the camera, as per instructions in the manual. -G

it does come with a battery and to charge the camera you have to plug in the camera to the wall outlet, but you can buy yourself a seperate charger on amazon

yes to the battery. the fz 80 charges the battery in the camera through the usb port
