“We run hdmi from laptop to monitor and then sound out to existing stereo via headphone cable to hear the videos. Can we run a stereo headphone to male usb cable to this unit's usb port, and will the sound from videos then play on these speakers?”

• Hello Jack! The USB port is for playing MP3 and other audio files from a USB storage device, not for receiving live audio input from the laptop. - S
