- Answer No. This model is from 2019 and predates the creation of Disney+ in November 2019. This model can stream Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. The best features of this model are the outstanding clarity of its picture and its ability to play any disc. I don’t know if Panasonic can or plans to offer streaming updates in the future. If you are more interested in streaming than playing discs, you might prefer a newer model that guarantees it can be continually updated for the newest entries in the streaming market, if that is even possible.

QuestionI'm currently using my Xbox One X to play all of my 4K discs but I want to upgrade, would there be a noticeable difference? This looks like a good option but I don't want to waste my money if there is little to no difference in picture/audio quality.

- Answer It's a big difference in picture and audio quality. I have the Xbox one x and use to use it for 4k movies. I had a few that didn't play and I noticed the picture quality wasn't all that great from physical media. The Panasonic ub420 has been amazing, and the hdr optimizer takes movies to another level

These are the commands you can use to control your Blu-ray disc player: Power ON/OFF, Open/Close tray, OK(Select), Play, Pause ON/OFF, Stop, Search backward/forward, Slow backward/forward, Skip backward/forward, Skip -10/+60 seconds, HOME, Launch Netflix/Youtube/Amazon Prime Video/BBC iPlayer/News/Sport, search keywords on YouTube. Please be advised that these launch options are applicable only if the player supports the corresponding network services. -C

QuestionCan the auto shut off feature be turned off?

- Answer Hello! To save on electricity, this unit is turned off automatically depending on the media if there is no button operation for about 20 minutes when not playing back (such as when paused or displaying the menu, displaying still pictures, etc.). This cannot be deactivated. -C

- Answer I purchased the 420 for the fact that it has all the qualities of the 820, except Dolby Vision. DV was not a 'must have' for me, so the price difference was a major factor.
