Hi! Yes, the player uses HDMI connection. -M
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sound bar connects to your TV by an HDMI or an optical cable. With more basic systems it is usually optical out from your TV to your soundbar. Once your blu-ray is connected to your TV by an HDMI cable you are good to go. There is an audio out on your player, but that is not what you want to use unless for some reason you don’t want the sound to come out of the sound bar when you are just watching TV.

If you want to listen to CDs through a soundbar you will need one with multiple inputs and not just HDMI. Check the outputs on the BD player and look for a soundbar that has at least one matching the BD outputs other than HDMI, such as AV or optical. Also check to be sure the soundbar can switch between inputs, otherwise you will have to turn on the TV to listen to your CDs. You should also check reviews on-line to see how others use the soundbars you are considering with CD sources.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This player has two HDMI outputs. One for video/audio and one for audio only. If your soundbar has a HDMI input it can be utilized that way.
