simple answer; yes, yes, yes.

dash cam has loop recording, so the amount of recorded clips are depends on the size of the memory card you use.

unit gets its power from the source. so if your cigarette lighter powers on/off with the ignition, this will also be the case for the dash cam. 
beware, some vehicles don't cut power to the cigarette lighter when the ignition is off, so be careful and check when you use the dash cam. you don't want to come back to a dead battery.
