This machine can make just foamed milk actually! You simply choose pre-ground coffee and press the latte button. The machine will think it's tamping pre-ground coffee you dropped into the shoot then it will proceed to steam and foam your milk. Simply hit the stop button after the machine steamed and foamed your milk. This method doesn't waste any coffee. The higher models have a foamed milk option in the other drink menu.
