Most of the components are plastic. There is a stainless steel grate but that is it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It appears to be mostly plastic with the obvious exception of the internal boiler for the steam/frother and the top of the tray. This may be one of the ways they keep the cost below more expensive units like the DeLonghi. I had a Saeco Vienna (Philips bought Saeco) for over 15 years which was mainly plastic except for the boiler and the frothing wand...it held up very well and still works great...just wanted to treat ourselves to a full automatic. The coffee from the Philips is great...it just may take some trial and error with the strength and size to get it to your liking.
