Yes, this machine is automatic. Once you load the whole beans or you can a scoop of ground coffee and fill the water reservoir you just select the button for which coffee you would like it to make. It automatically dumps the grounds inside. I have made several cups before I had to empty the grounds collector. Hope that helps.

It's what they call a super automatic. This one goes a notch further by brewing "one touch" latte. It grinds, brews, and foams milk at the touch of a button - well, actually two touches once you set it up.
