• There are dots along the circumference of the wheel. The smaller the dots the finer the grind

• I had the same issue. I believe the marking is on the left of the knob. The smaller the dot the finer the grind. I think rotating clockwise the dots get bigger and more coarse. Only move the knob when the machine is in the process of grinding and only a dot at a time. It may take quite a few cups for the machine to adjust.
