“I understand the switch has to be always 'on'. Does this mean my electricity is running through the bulb even if it's not on? Thus, my electricity will still being use?”

I was worried about that too but after I did some research it use so little energy

If it is running it is barely anything. I have had some off for months now and have t noticed a huge difference in billing.
