I have the Hue GU10 colors in my vanity, and a Hue A19 color in my ceiling fixture near the bathtub/shower and have not had a problem. (My smoke alarm has gone off a couple times due to the steam, but the Hue has held strong. Never blinked shorted or changed colors on it's own.) I really like that I can set the vanity to teals and the over head to a rich blue and have a relaxing start to my day.[I also have a friend that has the strips over his shower!!]
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have no idea. if you have LED lights in there now and they don't short out then I would see no reason these would. Color spectrum on these are great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would definitely notcput Hue bulbs in the steam shower unless the housing is absolutely sealed. Low DC voltage lanps are mostly used in steam showers and Hue is not that. Remember that water is conductive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think that I would put these in anywhere they would come in contact with steam. Steam is one of the worst things for electronics - it breaks down seals and moisture gets inside and ruins things. Also, steam is inherently very hot, and the high heat + moisture ruins things. Therefore, I would advise against using these in showers or steam rooms.
