Along with the Philips bridge, you'll find many hubs that can connect to these Hue lights natively - SmartThings, Hubitat, and Home Assistant as examples. Many still recommend connecting Hue bulbs to a Hue bridge, and integrating the bridge with your home automation platform of choice - this maintains all Hue functionality and is less complicated than connecting bulbs to a 3rd-party platform in most cases. That said, I ditched the Hue bridge long ago and use Home Assistant without issue.
