You would not want to use them on a dimmer because the bulb itself has built in computer logic to choose color hue, temperature color and brightness. The redundancy of a dimmer would sacrifice the automation which is the point of the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, however, as someone mentioned they dim on their own independently so dimmer switch is unnecessary unless you need the Lutron switch to remote from your phone. I have mine hooked to a circuit with Lutron caseta dimmers and they work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Dimming switched will damage the bulb. On/off switches (non-dimming) would work, but then the hue bulbs would not be remotable when off, and when remoting the switch on the hue bulb would start at it's default color/intensity every time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They dim on their own. Best if plugged directly into the wall. As long as you have the starter kit, you can program them to dim and dim at whatever color you chose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No - I had same issue - cannot be used with any dimmers. Must have hard on/off switch. I installled a mixture of white only bulbs with color bulbs (had 15 lights on one switch) so I could use. Having some only white reduced price and helped me get effect I wanted.
